10 Reasons to Pack Your Bag and Take the Trip

just go

1. The money will come and go but new experiences will last a lifetime.

Seriously, you can always make more money, but you can’t make more time.  Don’t let money be what is stopping you from going places.

2. It doesn’t need to be as expensive as you think.

Just like anything else in life, if you budget properly and you are smart about it, it does not need to be as crazy expensive as most people think it is.  There are so many ways to travel on a dime.  Stay tuned for my blog post highlighting all of those ways coming soon.  In the meantime check out my blog about using credit card points to earn free flights.  That mixed with some smart planning and flexibility is the main way I’m able to afford the trips I take!

3. Life happens.

Stop waiting for tomorrow, next year, when you are in a relationship, when your kids grow up, when you are retired, etc.  Do it now and stop waiting for things to be perfect in your life.  The perfect moment is always now.  Life happens and if you don’t take time to do things now, then they might never happen.

4. No excuses.

There’s always an excuse you can make as to why you should put something off in life, but ultimately that’s all it is…an excuse.  While traveling the world I’ve literally seen every scenario you can imagine of different types of people traveling.  Solo travelers, Single parents with children, young, old…it doesn’t matter who you are…if you have an interest in traveling…you can do it! 🙂

5. Where there’s a will there’s a way.

I promise you if you set your mind to something you will find a way to make it happen.  Whether it be a vacation or any other goal or dream in life, anything is possible. If you need some more help in manifesting your dreams take a look at my blog on vision boards here.

6. Anything that scares you or challenges you will help you grow.

Sure, some places we travel to might seem a little scary or intimidating at first, but that is only because it is unknown to you at that time.  Or maybe it is traveling alone that scares you. Whatever it might be, once you get out of your comfort zone and actually experience new places, you will see how much your perspective will change and how valuable that is in helping you be more fearless and open-minded in all areas of your life.

7. Shop til you drop.

Nothing feels as good as saying “I bought this in Europe” (I read that on a billboard once and it is oh so very true).  Not to mention the style, price, and quality can often be much better and also more unique.

8. New friends make great friends.

One of the best parts about traveling is the people you meet along the way.  It can be so eye-opening to talk to people from different walks of life and can lead to amazing new friendships that last a lifetime. Also, with new friends come new places to visit and maybe even a place to stay!

9. Memories last a lifetime.

Think back to some of your favorite moments in time.  In addition to quality time with your family and friends, most likely the moments that stand out are the times you have done something new and exciting.  Children have that feeling of excitement and curiosity almost every day when they experience new things.  It doesn’t need to be any different as adults.  Travel brings those feelings of wonder and awe into your life and creates memories that stand out for a lifetime.  So whether it be alone, with friends, family, a significant other, or new friends….start making those new memories and plan that vacation! 🙂

10. The photos.

You can get photos like this…and let’s be honest…who doesn’t love a good photo?

Happy travels! Xoxo
