Book Recommendations

Reading is the key to expanding our horizons and there are so many amazing books out there that can help encourage a spiritual awakening.  Below you can find a few of my own favorite suggestions to help awaken the soul.

Mindful Wonders: A Book About Mindfulness Using the Wonders of Nature by Michelle Zivkov (Me) 🙂

I’m going to take this moment to start by shamelessly plugging my very own published children’s picture book (Yay!!) which has been known to be soothing and awakening for not only kids, but adults as well. Written to inspire mindfulness and meditation, Mindful Wonders helps to calm the mind and connect people to their breath and the beauty found in nature. Using imaginative language and illustrations, this book encourages people to connect all the wonders of the world around them to their own inner peace and love.

A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle

This was one of the first books I read that really helped me begin to recognize the importance of living in the moment and appreciating the beauty that surrounds us.  I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a deep read that encourages thinking about the world and life from a new perspective.Image result for eckhart tolle a new earth

Ask and It Is Given by Esther and Jerry Hicks

This book is a wonderful tool to encourage growth using the Law of Attraction to help manifest your desires.  It discusses using our own emotions to help guide us and helps to give a better understanding of how to do just that.

Fear Understanding and Accepting the Insecurities of Life by OSHO

This book is helpful in recognizing how powerful our thoughts are and how important it is to look at things from a different point of view.  Although the author OSHO can be a bit controversial and extreme in his thinking, I’ve found that his books offer valuable information in adjusting your thinking to help free your mind from many of the conformities of societal thinking.Image result for osho fear

The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield

Passed along to me by a friend, this fictional thriller is full of relatable and valuable life lessons learned throughout the story.  This book is a great read to help open the mind and enjoy the adventures the characters experience along the way.  Be sure to keep the tradition of passing your copy along to someone else that would enjoy it if you decide to read it! 🙂Image result for the celestine prophecy
