One of the best things about California is all of the beautiful hiking trails to explore! If you’re looking for a great sweat session, some real LA beauty, and stunning scenic views here is a list of my favorite hikes to do when exploring Los Angeles, California.
Sycamore Canyon Hike
Point Mugu State Park, Malibu, CA 90265
Duration: 1 hr./Difficulty level- Easy to Moderate
When it comes to views of the Pacific Ocean, this is my all-time favorite hike in the LA area. The Malibu coastline is found on one side and the Santa Monica Mountains on the other, which makes this scenic coastal hike well worth checking out! For more info on what to do in Malibu, click here.

Griffith Park Hiking Trails
Griffith Observatory 2800 E Observatory Rd, Los Angeles, CA 90027Duration: 1 -2hrs./Difficulty- Easy to Moderate
Better known as the palm tree hike, this secret spot otherwise known as Captain’s Roost is a beautiful place to get a little lost in LA. The trail starts near the observatory, where you will make your way uphill following the Charlie Turner trailhead before you hike down to the Captain’s Roost lookout path that leads you to the palm trees.

Palos Verdes Bluff Cove Trail
Paseo Del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates CA 90274Duration: Less than 1 hr./Difficulty- Easy
A less known, yet always stunning spot to take in some scenic ocean views and cliffsides, Palos Verdes is full of hidden gems. Bluff Cove Trail is one of my favorite spots which a friend introduced me to for a little photo shoot fun. Feeling like a magical never never land full of endless beauty, exploring the many trails in Palos Verdes is definitely worth the visit!

Runyon Canyon Park
1998 N Fuller Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046
Duration: 1 hr./Difficulty level- Easy to Moderate
This famous hike is best known for celebrity sightings, uphill climbs, dog-friendly trails, and stunning views of downtown LA and the Hollywood sign. This hike is an absolute must-do when visiting LA! (Daily donation-based yoga in the park adds to the amazingness of this beautiful place.)

Los Liones Trail
580 Los Liones Drive, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272
Duration: 1-3 hrs./Difficulty level- Moderate to Difficult
This hike is one of the most amazing for some incredible coastal views of the Pacific. It starts off a bit slow, but the higher uphill you climb the more amazing the views of the coast start to get. This is a great option for all levels, whether you are looking for a quick workout or a more difficult challenge. You can do as much or as little of the hike as you choose and adjust it to fit your timing and needs.

Eagle Rock Canyon Trail
5499 Eagle Rock View Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90041
